Feed Nova ScotiaIf the family is in receipt of Income Assistance and received a pink slip, the deadline for that support is November 8th.   For those who do not receive Income Assistance, the deadline for the application for support is November 22nd.  Application information is available on the website included below, including a fillable online application.


Christmas DaddiesChristmas Daddies helps Maritime families in need at Christmas time by providing toys to families with children. The Salvation Army is their partner for the distribution and you must register to be on the list.  If the family was on Income Assistance in September 2019, they will receive a pink form in the mail. Follow the instructions on the form. If they have questions about the form they received, please call 902-457-2849 or have them contact their social worker. Deadlines seem to fall within the first week of December.


Salvation Army- Dartmouth:  Provides low income families with holiday gifts and food hampers.  Seasonal program and is a first come/first serve application process.  Apply in person (Bring Health Cards of each family member in the household) on Wednesdays from 1-6pm to 946 Main Street. Applications will be welcome until they run out of tickets or when the process closes at the end of November.
